Denpasar Municipal Police Enforce Regulations on Promotional Media in Public Facilities

Denpasar, The Bali Herald - The Denpasar Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP)  once again carried out an operation to remove promotional media such as billboards, banners, flags and pamphlets that were displayed in violation of regulations in public facilities in the Denpasar area on Tuesday (20/1). This activity was carried out in order to maintain public order, the beauty of the city, and to enforce local regulations.

This enforcement activity was carried out by the Denpasar Civil Service Police Unit by targeting a number of strategic roads, namely Jalan Angsoka, Jalan Suli, Jalan Gatot Subroto Timur, Jalan Nangka Selatan, Jalan PB Sudirman, Jalan Raya Sesetan, and Jalan Pulau Moyo. The crackdown was carried out in an effort to create a neat, clean, and comfortable city for the community.

The Head of the Denpasar Civil Service Police Unit, Anak Agung Ngurah Bawa Nendra, said that this activity was part of the Satpol PP's commitment to enforcing local regulations and maintaining order and beauty in the city environment. According to him, the installation of promotional media on public facilities must comply with applicable regulations so as not to disturb the aesthetics of the city or the safety of road users.

‘The enforcement of promotional media is carried out routinely as a form of enforcement of regional regulations. We urge all business actors, organisations, and the community to install promotional media in accordance with the provisions and locations that have been determined,’ said Anak Agung Ngurah Bawa Nendra.

According to him, from this crackdown, Denpasar Civil Service Police Unit officers managed to crack down on various types of promotional media with the following details: 11 billboards, 30 pamphlets, 50 banners, and 25 banners. All promotional media that were cracked down on were then secured for further processing in accordance with applicable regulations.

Furthermore, Anak Agung Ngurah Bawa Nendra emphasised that the Denpasar Civil Service Police Unit not only takes action but also prioritises preventive efforts through socialisation and appeals to the community to be more orderly and obedient to the rules. This is expected to foster a shared awareness of maintaining public order in the city of Denpasar.

The Denpasar Civil Service Police Unit also invites the community to play an active role in maintaining public order and peace. If Denpasar City residents find any violations related to public order and community peace (trantibum), they can report them through the Denpasar Civil Service Police Unit WhatsApp Bot service at +62 813-3733-8326.

“We greatly value community participation. With reports from residents, violations of public order and community peace can be addressed more quickly and effectively,” he concluded.

With the implementation of this initiative, Anak Agung Ngurah Bawa Nendra hopes that the city of Denpasar will remain well-organised, beautiful, and comfortable, in line with Denpasar’s vision as a culturally rich and environmentally conscious city. (Ayu/humas.dps)
