Karangasem - Rejang dance performed by eight employees of the Regional Secretariat accompanied the Bhakti Penganyar of the Buleleng Regency Government at Pura Agung Besakih, Karangasem, in order to appreciate the work of Ida Bhatara Turun Kabeh.
The beauty of Rejang Dance opened the Bhakti Penganyar procession held by the Buleleng Regency Government at Besakih Great Temple, Karangasem Regency, on Wednesday morning (3/4/2024).
Eight employees of the Buleleng Regional Secretariat gracefully performed the dance, ushering in the offering procession led by Acting Buleleng Regent Ketut Lihadnyana and Mrs. Paramita Lihadnyana, Buleleng Regional Secretary Gede Suyasa, and Heads of SKPD within the Buleleng Regency Government.
Hundreds of Hindus packed the Besakih Great Temple to witness this Bhakti Penganyar procession. This ceremony is a form of srada bhakti of Buleleng Regency Government to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa and the gods and goddesses who reside in Besakih Great Temple.
Met after the procession, Lihadnyana explained that the implementation of Bhakti Penganyar is a form of devotion and respect for Ida Bhatara-Bhatari who resides in Besakih Great Temple, as well as asking for safety and prosperity for the universe.
"We together ask Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, especially Ida Bhatara-Bhatari who resides in Besakih Grand Temple. So that He grants safety and prosperity to all people, both in Buleleng and Bali in general," he said.
According to the Acting Regent who is also the Head of the Bali Province Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), apart from being a form of devotion and respect, Bhakti Penganyar is also one of the efforts of the Buleleng Regency Government to maintain a harmonious relationship between humans and God and the universe.
"This ceremony is also a form of gratitude and thanks to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa for the abundance of his gifts to the people of Buleleng," said Lihadnyana.
Lihadnyana also revealed that Bhakti Penganyar at Pura Agung Besakih is one proof of the commitment of the Buleleng Regency Government in maintaining and preserving Balinese customs and culture. This ceremony is also an important moment to strengthen the spiritual relationship between the Buleleng Regency Government and the Hindu community in Bali.
