Jakarta - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy / Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf / Baparekraf) fully supports the implementation of ASITA Run 2024 which will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Renon Field in Denpasar, Bali.
Adyatama Tourism and Creative Economy Principal Expert of Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf, Nia Niscaya in "The Weekly Brief With Sandi Uno" at Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, Monday (16/4/2024) said that the event initiated by ASITA (Indonesian Travel Bureau Association) is expected to inspire other communities and associations of parekraf actors to present events that are able to accelerate the movement of domestic tourists and attract foreign tourists.
"Especially when the event pandemic is actually a turning point to encourage the recovery of the tourism sector. So we hope that this activity can inspire other communities or associations to organize events," said Nia.
Nia revealed that the event, which was held in commemoration of ASITA's 53rd Anniversary, was targeted to be attended by 1,000 participants, both domestic and foreign tourists.
Director of Nusantara Tourism Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Dwi Marhen Yono, added that similar events can be multiplied to accelerate the achievement of the target of 14.3 million foreign tourist arrivals and 1.25 billion-1.5 billion domestic tourist movements by 2024.
"What is clear is that this is very helpful in achieving our targets. Our key performance indicator this year is targeted at 14.3 million foreign tourists and this can also encourage the movement of domestic tourists," said Marhen.
The event was attended by the Chairperson of DPP ASITA, Nunung Rusmiati. In addition, also attended online the Chairman of DPD ASITA Bali, I Putu Wanastra; and Vice Chairman IV GIPI Bali, I Nyoman Astama.
